The many benefits of carbohydrate restriction, including weight loss, can be achieved when carbohydrate intake is maintained under your tolerance (or carb threshold) to control blood sugar and insulin levels. If you’ve identified that you are indeed in a weight loss plateau, now what? In order to break the plateau, it’s important to identify what may be standing in the way of further weight loss. Notice how clothing fits, and measure your waist circumference. Your body composition may be changing while the scale shows no change at all.
